Better World Books

We are excited to embark on our mission to promote literacy to all age levels throughout the world. Education and literacy is something many people take for granted or don’t have access to.  We are a student group on campus at the University At Albany enrolled in the Communication 304 Group Leadership course. Our names are (from left to right) Andrea Alarcon, Jen Martin, Maddi Waterbury, Chris Brognano and Chris Barker.

We wanted to find an organization online that has a passion to deliver books to those who need it around the world. We found Better World Books and immediately fell in love with their impact. “We've re-used and recycled over 80 million pounds of books and raised over $10 million for global literacy and local libraries. Every book you buy or donate expands our collective impact.” They have the same vision we have. They make it simple to donate too! Better World Books is an online for-profit bookseller founded in 2002 by Christopher Fuchs, Xavier Helgesen and Jeff Kurtzman.
