Yonkers Riverfront Library Donation

Hello and Welcome!

As part of Professor Yonkers Conference and Group Leadership course at the University at Albany, students in Group 1 are working together with the Yonkers Riverfront Library, located in Yonkers, NY, to donate 30 books that will help encourage reading and knowledge. Members of our group include Marcy Robles, Kalene White, Lauren Lee, Danielle Porwich, Billy Bodner, and Taylor Nicholson.

We began this project with each student having one book. With the intention of each student collecting four more books, making it five in total per group member. Group members discussed possible donation locations and decided on the Yonkers Riverfront Library. The reason for this is because it is very convenient in terms of location. Group member Marcy Robles is from Yonkers and travels there frequently, allowing for hand delivery of the books. Roles and responsibilities were established within the group and we agreed on rotating days of leadership. Books are currently being collected and approximately fifteen books have been collected thus far.

Our goal is to have all the books collected and delivered by mid-April. For more information on the donation site, click here. Thank you for supporting our cause.
